MCP's FogFree PP Packaging Wins WorldStar Sustainable Packaging Award

MCP's FogFree PP Packaging Wins WorldStar Sustainable Packaging Award

We at MCP are thrilled to announce our FogFree polypropylene (PP) hot fill packaging has received the prestigious WorldStar Award for sustainable packaging innovation in the food category. As past winners of the Star of Israel competition, we were eligible to enter the FogFree concept into the global WorldStar awards organized annually by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).

The FogFree PP packaging solution prevents condensation buildup during the hot fill process, enabling clear visibility of food contents through the packaging. This innovative, recyclable PP with anti-fog effect packaging also minimizes the the probability of mold and fungi growth due to moisture droplets.

Judging Process and Global Recognition

The WorldStar competition saw over 435 entries evaluated by 44 judges representing 45 WPO member countries worldwide. After two rounds of intensive assessment focused on unique sustainability benefits, the FogFree PP was chosen as a winner in the food category.

We are honored by this global recognition from WorldStar and the judging panel of international packaging experts. It validates our commitment to developing responsible packaging that balances performance, cost-effectiveness and environmental impact.

The WorldStar Award Ceremony will be held in conjunction with ProPak Asia 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand on June 15th.

At MCP, we strive to create next-generation packaging solutions like FogFree PP that avoid waste while meeting consumer needs. This WorldStar award encourages us to keep pushing boundaries in recyclable, eco-friendly packaging design.
